THE LONG RIDE HOME
This is my first book about my original ride back from Sydney to London on a 105cc Australian Post bike named Dorothy. The book's had a few names over the years; Going Postal was the original title in Australia, it was then called Riding Dorothy briefly in the UK, before settling on the slightly dry title of the Long Ride Home, which is effectively what the journey was; taking 9 months, covering 23,000 miles and leaving after just 3 days of planning. It was a response to circumstances and not as crazy as it sounds. The book is about that trip and the reasons and motivations behind it.

It wasn't an easier trip than Sydney to London; in some ways harder. The book is another honest account.

People ask about a third postie book; we'll see...
